GAINING CONTROL IS KEY

All psychic kids need to understand that they can take control of what they receive from the world of spirit so that it doesn’t take over and impinge upon every other aspect of their lives. They need to feel that they are in charge so that they don’t feel victimized. They need to know that being psychic is not a curse and that they can learn to consciously tap into their paranormal abilities at will rather than have psychic experiences occurring spontaneously, unsolicited, and as uninvited, unwanted invasions of their lives.

In Black Swan and the much earlier film The Red Shoes we saw fictional representations of what can happen when people who are unusually gifted (in these stories ballerinas) are consumed by their gifts and their lives spiral out of control. While neither film claims to be an accurate portrayal of actual events, their dramatic license drives home the necessity for any gifted individual to take control of the talent that might otherwise take control of him.

No one wants to feel helpless, hopeless, and unable to cope. (And many kids, psychic or not, tend to feel that way a lot of the time.) Psychic children need to be as normal as possible. Being psychic is only one part of who they are, and they can’t be “psychic kids” 24/7. They also need to go to school, do homework, participate in sports and social events, go on trips, and hang out with friends, just like any other kid. They need to become well-rounded people.

Many things came together to allow me to do what I do, and most of them are not related to being psychic. I was a child actor, which taught me not only to be comfortable interacting with other people but also how to navigate my way around a television studio. I also studied traditional counseling, which taught me how to understand people on a human psychological level. And working in the travel industry taught me how to travel comfortably, which has now allowed me to “take my show on the road” so to speak and go from place to place with a minimum of stress. All of these are pieces of the puzzle that have led to my being able to earn a living as a psychic. And now, when I do a reading for someone, it very often sounds more like a therapy session than a psychic reading. What I tell people may sound more like good common sense than some kind of divine wisdom received from above, and, in fact, the information I impart very often is about daily life skills and better decision-making. The reason for this, I believe, is that my spirit guides are very aware of who I am as a person, and they utilize my real-world skills and experiences when they deliver information to me to pass on to my clients.
